Adulting: Living A Fuller Life

Since adulting (i.e. life as an adult) is so complex, this is actually going to be a series.  First up?  One practical way to live a fuller life.

Let’s be honest. There are days that you are grateful to just get through the day.  However, there is so much joy that is available through God.  The demands of life try to distract you from that joy and force you into almost a robotic survival mode at times.

So, what is one of many practical ways to live a fuller life?  My recommendation is to spend 60 minutes of your day doing something new that is (mostly) unrelated to anything you currently do.  After the first day of exploring something new, commit to doing this new activity or hobby for 60 minutes daily.  For me, doing something new meant pursuing photography.  It is through photography that I am able to slow down for a part of the day, adventure to different neighborhoods around me, further build community, and infuse my day with art and creativity.  There’s still a lot for me to learn about the art of photography, and I’m ready for it!  Curious about how my photography is progressing?  Go to instagram.com/PhotosByPurposeOverFear.

Even on the busiest of days, we can make room for 60 minutes to do something.  After all, 60 minutes is less than 5% of an entire 24-hour day.

What is something new that you want to try?  Share your story in the comment section below, and let’s encourage each other to make time to experience more of the beauty in life!  Also, do you have some ideas about other practical ways adults can live a fuller life?  Share that in the comment section too!  Let’s grow together as a community.

Blessings and Love,
